ANDY KIM
ANDY KIM CPFA®, MDRT®

Background

Andy G. Kim is an experienced financial professional who has been helping individuals and families build and protect their financial futures since 2001. He earned his degree in Economics from Towson University in Maryland in 1998 and began his career as an independent agent specializing in individual and group health insurance, life insurance, and annuities. Over more than two decades in the financial services industry, Andy has developed extensive experience in retirement planning, life insurance, annuities, long-term care, Medicare, and estate and legacy planning. Today, he serves clients on both the East and West Coasts, with a particular commitment to helping Korean-American individuals and families better understand their financial options and prepare confidently for retirement.

Experience

Andy joined Guardian in 2003, specializing in whole life insurance, annuities, and long-term care while als building and managing a team of Korean financial professionals. After six years with Guardian, he joined MetLife, where he expanded his practice into retirement and estate planning and began working in the Medicare market. Following the MetLife-MassMutual transition, Andy continued his career with MassMutual. After relocating to California, he expanded his practice to serve professionals and high-net-worth individuals while continuing to serve clients on the East Coast.

Client-Centric Approach

Andy believes financial planning should reflect each client's stage of life, priorities, and long-term goals. For younger individuals and families, he emphasizes building a strong financial foundation through planning, tax- conscious strategies, and risk management. For clients approaching or in retirement, his focus shifts toward retirement income, annuities, asset protection, long-term care, Medicare, and legacy planning. His retirement planning process centers on three practical questions: How much will I need? When should I start? How much income will I need each month?
